Funding for Museum

Modernization of the Fisheries Museum in Hel, a new painting by Epstein and inventory of the wreckage from the Gulf of Gdańsk - these three projects will receive funding in 2014 from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

We are pleased to announce that the next call to the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Programs ended for the National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk with success! Three out of five proposals submitted by the Museum received funding.

The modernization works in the Fisheries Museum in Hel will be funded with 300 000 PLN (requested funding: 417 834 PLN). Purchase of the painting titled "Łodzie w porcie" ("Boats in harbor") by Henryk Epstein will be funded by amount of 35 000 PLN (requested funding: 36 000 PLN). A third proposal - "Inventory of wreck F53.14 and F53.31 from the Gulf of Gdańsk" - received funding in the amount of 70 000 PLN (requested funding: 74 720 PLN).

In addition, in 2014 implementation of the second stage of the task: "Monograph: Miedziowiec – the wreck of a medieval ship." will take place. This two-year project received last year a grant in amount of 70 500 PLN.

Another task realized during two years is the project titled "Polish Maritime Museum – Digital Maritime Museum (Stage 2)" under Multiannual Government Programme Culture +. Granted funds are 535 100 PLN.
